Cast from an antique coin from 450-600 BCE from the region of Kapilavastu, Indian. This is where Siddharta Gautama, the Buddha, grew up and where his father, Suddhodhana was the elected ruler. This coin is also know as a "punch-mark" coin as different symbols and banker's marks were punched into the coin's metal giving it it's interesting texture. We'd like to believe that the young Buddha may have touched the coin. Either way, it's packed with mystery, depth, history and beauty. Very comfortable to wear.
